1. Wie zijn wij

CoachMarty is een persoonlijk trainingsdashboard ontwikkeld door Coach Marty, een handelsnaam van M. van Monsjou, gevestigd in Nederland (KvK-nummer: 68717601). CoachMarty helpt atleten inzicht te krijgen in hun trainingsdata door gegevens te synchroniseren via de officiële Garmin Connect API.

2. Welke gegevens verzamelen wij

Wij verzamelen en verwerken de volgende persoonsgegevens:

Accountgegevens: e-mailadres en naam (bij registratie)
Garmin Connect gegevens: activiteiten (hardlopen, fietsen, etc.), slaapdata, hartslagvariabiliteit (HRV), trainingsstatus en lichaamsbatterij — gesynchroniseerd via de officiële Garmin Connect API met jouw uitdrukkelijke toestemming
Gebruiksgegevens: trainingsvoorkeuren en persoonlijke doelen die je invoert tijdens de onboarding

Wij slaan geen Garmin inloggegevens op. De koppeling met Garmin verloopt via OAuth, waarbij je rechtstreeks inlogt bij Garmin en CoachMarty enkel een beveiligde toegangstoken ontvangt.

3. Waarom verzamelen wij deze gegevens

Wij gebruiken je gegevens uitsluitend voor:

Het synchroniseren van je Garmin trainingsdata naar je persoonlijke dashboard
Het tonen van trainingsanalyses, trends en coaching-inzichten
Het genereren van een gepersonaliseerd trainingsplan
Het verbeteren van de functionaliteit van CoachMarty

De rechtsgrondslag voor deze verwerking is jouw uitdrukkelijke toestemming (artikel 6 lid 1 sub a AVG), die je geeft wanneer je je Garmin-account koppelt aan CoachMarty.

4. Hoe beveiligen wij je gegevens

Garmin-koppeling verloopt via OAuth — wij ontvangen nooit je Garmin wachtwoord
Alle communicatie verloopt via HTTPS
Authenticatie gebeurt via Supabase Auth met JWT-tokens (ES256)
Je gegevens zijn strikt gescheiden per gebruiker — je kunt alleen je eigen data zien
Wachtwoorden worden gehasht en nooit in platte tekst opgeslagen

5. Delen wij je gegevens met derden

Nee. Wij delen, verkopen of verstrekken je persoonsgegevens niet aan derden. Je data wordt uitsluitend gebruikt binnen CoachMarty. De enige externe services die wij gebruiken zijn:

Supabase — voor database en authenticatie (EU-servers, Frankfurt)
Render — voor hosting van de applicatie
Garmin Connect API — voor het ophalen van je trainingsdata (op jouw verzoek en met jouw toestemming)

6. Bewaartermijn

Je gegevens worden bewaard zolang je een actief account hebt. Als je je account verwijdert, worden al je gegevens binnen 30 dagen permanent verwijderd uit onze systemen.

7. Jouw rechten (AVG/GDPR)

Op grond van de Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG) heb je het recht om:

Inzage te vragen in je persoonsgegevens
Correctie te vragen van onjuiste gegevens
Verwijdering te vragen van je gegevens
Bezwaar te maken tegen de verwerking
Gegevensoverdracht te vragen (dataportabiliteit)

Je kunt je Garmin-koppeling op elk moment intrekken via de instellingen. Wanneer je de koppeling intrekt, stoppen wij direct met het ophalen van nieuwe gegevens van Garmin. Op verzoek verwijderen wij ook alle eerder gesynchroniseerde Garmin-data. Om je account volledig te verwijderen of een van bovenstaande rechten uit te oefenen, neem contact met ons op.

8. Cookies

CoachMarty gebruikt alleen functionele cookies die noodzakelijk zijn voor de werking van de applicatie (sessie-authenticatie). Wij gebruiken geen tracking-cookies of analytics van derden.

10. Wijzigingen

Wij kunnen deze privacy policy van tijd tot tijd bijwerken. Bij belangrijke wijzigingen informeren wij je via e-mail of een melding in de app. De meest recente versie is altijd beschikbaar op deze pagina.

CoachMarty is a personal training dashboard developed by Coach Marty, a trade name of M. van Monsjou, based in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce registration: 68717601). CoachMarty helps athletes gain insight into their training data by syncing data through the official Garmin Connect API.

2. What data we collect

We collect and process the following personal data:

Account data: email address and name (upon registration)
Garmin Connect data: activities (running, cycling, etc.), sleep data, heart rate variability (HRV), training status, and body battery — synced through the official Garmin Connect API with your explicit consent
Usage data: training preferences and personal goals entered during onboarding

We do not store your Garmin login credentials. The connection with Garmin is handled via OAuth, where you log in directly with Garmin and CoachMarty only receives a secure access token.

3. Why we collect this data

We use your data exclusively for:

Syncing your Garmin training data to your personal dashboard
Displaying training analyses, trends, and coaching insights
Generating a personalized training plan
Improving CoachMarty’s functionality

The legal basis for this processing is your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you provide when you connect your Garmin account to CoachMarty.

4. How we protect your data

Garmin integration uses OAuth — we never receive your Garmin password
All communication is encrypted via HTTPS
Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with JWT tokens (ES256)
Your data is strictly isolated per user — you can only view your own data
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text

5. Do we share your data with third parties

No. We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal data to third parties. Your data is used exclusively within CoachMarty. The only external services we use are:

Supabase — for database and authentication (EU servers, Frankfurt)
Render — for application hosting
Garmin Connect API — for retrieving your training data (at your request and with your consent)

6. Data retention

Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

Access your personal data
Rectify inaccurate data
Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
Object to processing
Data portability

You can revoke your Garmin connection at any time through the settings. When you revoke the connection, we immediately stop retrieving new data from Garmin. Upon request, we will also delete all previously synced Garmin data. To fully delete your account or exercise any of the above rights, please contact us.

8. Cookies

CoachMarty only uses functional cookies necessary for the operation of the application (session authentication). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
